Dr Sarah MacLean is a professional and approachable psychologist who prides herself on offering the best service to adults, their families and the professional network.
A specialist across adulthood, with focus on difficulties such as loss, injury or illness adjustment, trauma and risk, Sarah is well suited to the type of work that serious and catastrophically injured clients require. She can work with complex presentations where clients have severe and enduring mental health difficulties such as personality, psychotic and bipolar disorders.
Sarah’s holistic, explorative and reflective style draws on and integrates psychological approaches including cognitive models, third wave and trauma; she considers all aspects of a person’s life and can formulate comprehensive treatment plans that benefit our clients, their families and care teams.
Sarah’s considerable experience has given her a strong understanding of multi-agency working. This lends itself well to the medico-legal context and processes, allowing Sarah to work effectively with solicitors, case managers, care teams, interdisciplinary teams (IDTs) and other agencies/settings.
Sarah’s priority is keeping the client at the centre where their needs are met in an inclusive way, enabling a meaningful and values-based life in line with their cultural preferences.
Working with PsychWorks Associates, Sarah promotes a cost-effective, proactive service with regular communication and high-quality report-writing.
