Dr Ayesha Roche is an experienced and thoughtful Clinical Psychologist, committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based and individually tailored care to clients with complex needs, their families and wider professional networks.

Ayesha works across adolescence and adulthood, with particular experience in trauma, loss and adjustment to life-changing circumstances, neuropsychological needs, rehabilitation and risk. This makes her well suited to working with people following serious and catastrophic injury, where psychological recovery may involve grief and loss, changes in identity and relationships, and adapting to a life that may look very different from before. Her extensive experience within specialist mental health services also enables her to work confidently with complex presentations, including personality-related difficulties, psychosis and bipolar disorder.

Ayesha’s therapeutic style is warm, relational, compassionate and collaborative. Her practice is strongly informed by Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), trauma-informed and relational approaches, alongside cognitive and other third-wave psychological models. She takes a holistic, formulation-led approach, seeking to understand not only a person’s difficulties but their experiences, relationships, identities, strengths and the ways they have learned to cope and protect themselves.

Ayesha has a particular interest in culturally responsive and inclusive psychological practice, recognising that culture, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, neurodivergence, family and community can be important to how people understand themselves and their experiences. She aims to ensure psychological care reflects the individual, rather than expecting the individual to fit the model of care.

Ayesha’s considerable experience of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working lends itself well to the medico-legal context. She works collaboratively with solicitors, case managers, families, care teams, Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) and other professionals, while ensuring that the client remains at the centre of their care.

Working with PsychWorks Associates, Ayesha provides a proactive and cost-effective service, with clear communication and high-quality psychological reporting. Her aim is to support clients not only to reduce distress, but to move towards a meaningful and values-based life that reflects who they are and what matters to them.
