Dr Shabnam Berry-Khan is a qualified researcher and clinical psychologist, having gained a PhD in 2002 and a DClinPsy in 2008. She is also a practising case manager, working with children and adult clients with disabilities resulting from injuries.
As a clinical psychologist, Shabnam has been working in the NHS, the voluntary sector and privately with children and adults with a range of difficulties for over 10 years. Most recently, she has worked in disabilities centres and also schools supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and their families.
Shabnam is experienced in conducting a range of assessments, a variety of interventions, providing consultation to professional teams, as well as training to individuals or groups. Shabnam has published various papers and presented at different events. Shabnam is also currently supervising a number of professionals, including some of the Associates at PsychWorks.
As one of the Directors of PsychWorks Associates, Shabnam is passionate about ensuring that an expert but personable, cost-effective and timely service is provided to all clients and their referring parties. It is also important to us that Associates feel supported in providing the best service on our behalf.
PsychWorks Associates has various mechanisms in place by which to achieve these goals; we want to provide a service we feel proud of, and in which clients and professionals can see the added value.
Shabnam is on the Board of Directors for MindFood, an ecotherapy CIC in Ealing that supports people with depression, anxiety and stress to improve their wellbeing through gardening and horticulture.
