Becky Mason is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her doctorate at Royal Holloway University in 2010. She has over 15 years' experience working in adult and children’s mental health settings, and a decade of working specifically with children, young people and their families.
Becky has worked in the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist for eight years and has worked in a range of settings including primary and secondary schools, secure estates, physical health and community mental health. Most recently Becky has been working in the community with adolescents with a range of mental health and social difficulties, to support them and their carers and families to make positive changes towards their goals. Becky also offers teaching, training and supervision to a range of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency colleagues.
Becky has specialist knowledge in cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, narrative therapy and individual and group parenting approaches. Becky is skilled in neuropsychological assessments, specialist assessments of risk and assessment of Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Becky has an extensive knowledge of mental health and evidence-based practice and an in-depth understanding of the needs of the system supporting the client. This enables her to draw upon the unique strengths of each client and family that and work towards achieving their goals.
Becky is passionate about working collaboratively with clients and their families both to combat the challenges that have arisen and to prevent the development of future difficulties.
